This Saturday, Oct. 18 is Frontier Fall Fest at Log Cabin Village in Fort Worth. Enjoy the fall season and relive autumn on the prairie – many artisans and musicians will be on hand, including those from the Embroiderer’s Guild of America, Buttermilk Junction Old Time String Band, Wyatt Earp, Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center, Flintknappers, and many more. You can even make your own festive corn husk doll to take home.

This Saturday, Oct. 18 is Cultivate, a free festival created by Chipotle that celebrates sustainable, wholesome and delicious food. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the south end of Lake Carolyn in Irving. Activities include cooking demonstrations, kids’ activities, local artisans, live music and more.

Come to Nash Farm in Grapevine this Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for their Fall Round-Up. Activities include: Jump rope making, leather working, wood carving, blacksmith demonstrations, wood stove cooking demonstration, cotton picking, corn shelling and grinding, farm chores, heritage toys, kitchen gardening and corn shuck doll making. Admission to the Fall Round-Up is free, but some activities have a small fee.
As a bonus, this year Nash Farm will have a Somethin’ Pumpkin Baking Contest. The contest is open to all age groups; items entered must be baked goods. Judging will take place at 12 noon, with winners announced at 1 p.m. Find more info on the contest here.
