The Dallas Opera is running ‘Don Pasquale’ tomorrow night (Feb. 27) and then again from March 5-7. Right now, you can get 20 percent off your tickets when you buy tickets online and enter the promo code DMNOnline. This code is good on all seats, even the cheapest ones, so you can get in for as little as $24. (Or as much as $360, if you want to get all fancy and sit in the box seats.)

The Dallas Opera’s website calls Don Pasquale a “sly and sophisticated comedy.” Sounds like fun! All performances are at the Winspear Opera House.

There’s nothing I like more in the morning than a good cup of coffee and something sweet. And now, Cinnabon has met my need for good food AND frugality with valuable coupons for cinnamon rolls and coffee. There’s a coupon to save $1 off a large Mochallatta Chill, a free coffee when you buy a Cinnabon, and more.

Cinnabon can be found inside several Schlotzsky’s locations in Fort Worth; no telling if they will take these coupons, since they are from Cinnabon corporate, so call and ask first. You can find your store at Cinnabon.com. There is an actual Cinnabon store at 6121 W. Park Blvd. in Plano.

Want to get the kids out of the house? Take them to one (or all) of these free events taking place on Saturday, Feb. 27:

Lowe’s Build & Grow Workshop – Kids can make a free LoweBot (a car that turns into a robot) at their local Lowe’s from 10-11 a.m. Go to www.lowesbuildandgrow.com to find your store and RSVP.

Veggie Tales Movie – take your kids to a local Family Christian Store for a screening of the Veggie Tales movie, “Pistachio: The Little Boy that Woodn’t.” The show is free, and the first 40 kids receive a poster and balloon. Everyone gets free coloring pages and stickers. Showtimes are 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. If you decide to do some shopping, take along a coupon for 20 percent off your entire purchase.

Michael’s Craft - From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at your local Michael’s craft store on Feb. 27, your kids can participate in a “Science Fair Make-It Take-It” workshop. They can build a free 3D molecule model using Crayola products, while supplies last. The store will also be doing a “science explorer demonstration” where kids can set up a color mixing lab, grow crystals and more. As always, call your store ahead of time to make sure they’re participating.

Are you a fan of Oprah? Then you probably know all about Bob Greene, Oprah’s personal trainer. Greene, who is the author of several best-selling books on fitness and health, will be at two DFW-area Kroger stores this weekend to sign copies of his newest book, “The Best Life Guide to Managing Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes,” as well as his other books.

While he’s there, he’ll also give helpful tips on diet, exercise, lifestyle and how to “live your best life.” Plus, audience members will also get to taste several dishes made from recipes in his cookbook, “The Best Life Diet Cookbook.”
