Text Clubs Worth Joining: JCP, Pilot & More

Category : shopping

If e-mail clubs are hot, then it seems that “texting clubs” are the very latest thing. Several large retailers are now offering to send you exclusive discounts if you allow them to send you a few texts a month with notices of specials and coupons. The great thing about these clubs are that you don’t have to remember a paper coupon for many of them – just show your phone and get the discount.

However, you will want to make sure that 1) You have a phone capable of displaying coupons (think iPhone, Blackberry, Droid) and 2) You have a texting plan that will allow you to get texts without breaking the bank.

Anyway, here are some of the ones I’ve joined:

Pilot Travel Centers - text the word “PILOT” to 68398 for weekly deals from the Wendy’s, Arby’s and Subway restaurants located inside certain Pilot Travel Centers.

Bath & Body Works - text the word “BBW” to 588229 to join Bath & Body Works’ text club & receive discount notices.

JCPenney: Text “join” to JCP365 (527365) or sign up here for Mobile Alerts.

Target: Sign up for Mobile Coupons on Target’s website.

Free Item w/Purchase at Bath & Body Works

Category : beauty, shopping

Print a coupon to receive a free Signature Care Collection item with any $10 purchase at Bath & Body Works. This coupon is good through Sept. 26. It can also be redeemed online with the coupon code DOLLARSHIPSC. That code will also get you $1 shipping when you spend at least $30 on their website.
