On Sunday, June 3 at 2 p.m., all Half Price Books locations will hold a “Biggest Storytime of the Summer” event. At this free event, kids and families can celebrate their love of books and the importance of literacy through reading. This program also serves as the kickoff to HPB’s “Feed Your Brain” summer reading program. To participate in the program, kids 14 and under should read at least 15 minutes a day for a month. (Kids who are not yet reading can listen to books read aloud by their parents.) Download a reading log and have your kids note their reading times each day. Once 300 minutes of reading are completed, kids can turn in the log to their local HPB to receive $5 in HPB Back-To-School Bucks, which are redeemable July 25 through Aug. 31. The top reader in every store will receive a $20 HPB gift card!
