Fit15 Street Walk with Mayor Price

Step away from your desk at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17 and come down to Trinity Park for a 15-minute walk with Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price. This initiative is part of FitWorth, a healthy-city initiative that encourages exercise and healthy habits for local residents. One of FitWorth’s programs is Fit15, which urges local employers to give employees 15 minutes per day for physical activity.

In addition to the walk with Mayor Price, participants can learn more about Fit15, get some free giveaways, and enter for a chance to win gift cards from West 7th merchants.

The walk will kick off on the side of Trinity Park close to West 7th St.

Free Pilates in the Park on Friday

On Friday, May 4, NYA Pilates will hold a free Pilates mat class at Trinity Park, in celebration of National Pilates Day. The class begins at 5:30 p.m. Whether you have lots of Pilates experience or just want to try it, this class is for you! Enter the park by the W. 7th Street bridge. Either go up and over the levee or go down the ramp towards the cul-de-sac, and the class will be between the levee and the river. Bring your own mat, and a small hand towel.
