The words “exercise” and fun are rarely spoken in the same sentence – except when you’re talking about The Color Run, popularly known as “the Happiest 5K on the Planet.” Whether you’re a 5-minute miler or a walker, you’re guaranteed to have fun and get drenched with color! Best of all: the Color Run will be back in Dallas on Nov. 16. Registration is normally $40-45, but there are ways you can save a bit on your entry fee. Here’s how to do it:
1. Register for the Dallas race here and use the promo code COLOR5OFF at checkout to get $5 off registration. (This code is also valid for all other cities that have not sold out; visit this page to see the full city list. Share the promo code with friends!)
2. Run as part of a Color Team. Groups of 4 or more automatically save $5 each on registration. You can also use the COLOR5OFF promo code with your team registration to save a total of $10. Plus, you get to pick a cool team name! Groups don’t have to run or finish together, so everyone can go at their own pace.
If you’ve never participated in The Color Run before, you’re in for a treat. After finishing your 5K – covered in head to toe with (easily washable) color – you’ll take part in a post-race “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations.
Registration often sells out early for these races, so find your race today and make sure you get a spot!Subscribe to FW on the Cheap by e-mail and become a fan on Facebook.
