photo crsmithmuseum_zpsa5e5f38b.jpgIf you’re looking for something to do this weekend, make it a museum day! The deal site SweetJack has two great deals on admission to two local museums:

$6 for two tickets to the Texas Civil War Museum ($12 value)

$5 for two tickets to the American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum ($10 value)

Meanwhile,  the C.R. Smith Museum, near DFW airport, boasts historic aircraft artifacts, photographs, airplane engines and even a Douglas DC-3 airliner. Kids will enjoy the museum’s “Zula Patrol” exhibit, focusing on weather and meteorology.

If you buy these deals, you’ll have until Nov. 13 to use the Texas Civil War Museum tickets, and until Aug. 1 to use the C.R. Smith Museum admissions.

Save on Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit Admission

Category : Arlington, entertainment, family, Featured

PhotobucketNo plans for the weekend? Check out today’s Groupon deal: $25 for two admissions to the “Dead Sea Scrolls & The Bible” exhibit in Fort Worth. Admission for two is normally $56! At this exhibit, located at Southwestern Seminary, you’ll see 21 fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls, at least 12 of which have never been shown publicly. Guests are sent into the exhibit in small groups, so they may have time to explore the artifacts without being rushed or crowded. You can also see original tools that were used during the Scrolls’ discovery in the 1950s, and a 20-foot-long facsimile of the Book of Isaiah.

If you’ve got a larger group that wants to attend the exhibit, you can pay just $49 for admission for four. Members of the military get in free and kids get in for $12, so there’s no need to buy a Groupon for them. You’ll have until Dec. 31 to use your vouchers.
