Groupon just launched a new deal on their Atlanta site for the weekend: $2 for five DVD rentals from Blockbuster Express. They normally rent their DVDs for $1 per night, so you’re saving over half with this deal. It’s good at any Blockbuster Express location; the DFW area has quite a few.
If you’ve never used Blockbuster Express, they work just like Redbox, with the same pricing. They do have different movie selections than Redbox on occasion. However, I like Blockbuster better because you can use “freebie” codes to reserve your movie online; at Redbox, if you want to use a freebie, you have to get to the kiosk and hope your movie is there. With this deal, you’ll receive 5 promo codes; each will be good for the first night of a rental – you must pay $1 for each extra night that you keep it. The Groupon is not valid on Blu-Ray or “Hot List” titles.
Best of all, you have until May 2013 to use the promo codes, so you can take your time. Buy now, because this one is sure to sell fast!
