On Wednesday, May 22, Rahr & Sons will host a farmer’s market-style event at its brewery featuring wares from local vendors. Shop for food, coffee, tamales, gifts, produce and more. The event is from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and will be held in conjunction with their usual Wednesday brewery tour and tasting. Everyone who attends will receive a special pint glass commemorating the event, and 20 percent of all sales will benefit Catholic Charities.

Admission to the tour is $10 per person, and includes three Rahr beer samples. (They card, too.)

Rahr Brewing is at 701 Galveston Ave. in Fort Worth.

You no longer have to wait until Saturday to visit your local farmers market – on Wednesday, April 25, TCU will host a Community Farmers Market & Art Fest from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on the TCU campus, behind Sadler Hall. Shop for fresh, local produce; cut flowers and plants; soap and bath products; bread and baked goods; hot tamales; and a variety of arts and crafts. This event is brought to you by Cowtown Farmers Market. If you can’t make it on Wednesday, the market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in the Edelweiss Restaurant parking lot.
