This Friday, May 17 is the first day of Grapevine Main Street Days, the town’s annual festival that serves as the kickoff to summer. The festival runs through Sunday, May 19. Attendees can hear live music on five stages, shop local vendors and enjoy a variety of food. There will also be plenty for young ones to do at the new KidCave area.

A few highlights of Main Street Days include:
Roma’s Pizza Toss Academy - kids ages 5-10 can learn how to toss pizza dough like a pro; kids who participate will go home with a coupon for a free slice of pizza from Palio’s Pizza Cafe
Main Street Brews Tasting – participants get five beer tastings plus a souvenir glass
LEGOLAND Junior Model Builder Competition – to register, go here

Admission to Main Street Days is free on Friday, May 17, until 5 p.m. After that, adults are $7, kids 6-12 and seniors are $5. Weekend passes are $15. Find info on tickets here.

On Saturday, Oct. 20, come to Nash Farm in Grapevine for their annual Fall Round-Up. The celebration lasts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At this free event, kids can participate in a number of fall-themed activities, including corn shuck doll making, blacksmith demonstrations, leather working, jump rope making and more. Hayrides will be available for $1 each.

Come out to the Park West Plaza shopping center in Grapevine this Saturday, May 5 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for Spring Family Fun Day. At this FREE event, kids can enjoy afternoon of family friendly activities, including a bounce house, face painting, a petting zoo and more.

Want to be on a game show? NBC is coming to the Palace Arts Center in downtown Grapevine to hold casting calls for two shows. They’re casting for Minute to Win It, a family-friendly game show hosted by Guy Fieri, and a new show tentatively called Still Standing, a trivia competition.
